Behind the Lens: Sexy Blue with Clover NYC & Chems Studio

We linked up with the ultra-talented teams at Clover NYC and Chems Studio to create something special: exclusive content that hit at the core of what Lox and Chain stands for - with a creative twist.

The working title for the shoot? Sexy Blue.
It started as an inside joke, something about the signature hue that always finds its way into our imagery. But by the end of the shoot, it stuck. There’s something about that tone - cool, surreal, cinematic, that just feels like us.

We focused on nine shots of our best-selling pieces and built unique scenes and quiet narratives around each one. Each shot became its own world. Here’s how it played out:

Two lovers, side by side in sharp suits. They’re independent, stoic, but something keeps them tethered. Around their necks, each side of the Breakable Heart.
It hasn’t broken yet. Maybe it won’t. It feels like the last thing they’ve got.

She’s Joan of Arc with a modern edge - a divine presence in chainmail and metal. She stares up at falling rings, longing for something more. The crosses and thorns aren’t religious, but symbolic. Sacred. Mysterious. You’ll never know what she’s asking for.

Her hands rest gently, almost possessively, on the jaw of her Dalmatian. She’s not sharing this twin kit with a partner - it’s not that kind of love.
The Flaming Heart rings, normally split between two people, stay on her fingers. Both of them. One heart, no intention of giving half away.
Her Dalmatian’s coat matches her nails. There’s a history here. Maybe she gave up on romance a long time ago.
Now, loyalty looks like fur and teeth. She’s scorned, sure. But if you come too close, her dog won’t be the only one biting back.

His hands are bruised and bandaged. He wraps them slow, methodical. It’s not about the fight. It’s about what he’s already survived.
